Skin lightening by Glutathione...

Since the widget for the web poll has malfunctioned, I decided to take it down...I apologized, but my time is too precious to be wasted on tweaking it. And I understand that yours is valuable as well.

Therefore I have picked a new topic, Glutathione. Are you familiar with Glutathione, its benefits to our Health & Skin?

Well, I will share some things about Glutathione and its uses that you may not be aware of until now.

First, Glutathione is a molecule that is made up of 3 amino acid namely cysteine, glutamic acid and glycine, they are manly involved in detoxification and anti-oxidant mechanism hence exist in almost every cell of the body.
The presence of glutathione is required to maintain the normal function of the immune system.

There are several ways a body can manufacture glutathione. It is true it takes 3 amino acids for the body to manufacture glutathione but our bodies can take food, turn the foods into the substance to manufacture the 3 needed amino acids needed to manufacture glutathione. This is also the natural method for a body to create glutathione.

As an example, asparagus and watermelon will make glutathione also broccoli, kale, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, etc.  But you will have to consume truckloads (no pun intended) to get the supply that you need that's why there are **Supplements readily available in the market for your perusal.

There are things associated with Glutathione; it detoxifies the liver, increased longevity, prevents
cardiovascular disease, cataracts, mascular degeneration, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, the destruction of immune cells associated with AIDS, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Acetaminophen can deplete Glutathione in the system as it helps remove them from the body. Studies shows
glutathione was reduced 70 to 80% within four hours after administering acetaminophen (Tylenol). So next time you get hit with a killer headache, take Aspirin instead, besides Aspirin is good for your heart.

Do you know that Glutathione is also considered as depigmenting agent? For some reason this is not very popular here in the US, but in Asia esp. Philippines and Japan it is widely used by prominent people and Celebrities to lighten the color of their skin. I will avoid using scientific terms so everyone can easily understand the process of skin lightening with the use of Glutathione.

How does it lighten the skin? - it inhibits the activity of the enzyme tyrosinase and reverses melanin metabolism turning dark pigmentation (eumelanin) to light pigmentation (phaeomelanin). So instead of producing dark melanin, it produces light melanin instead. What is Melanin? It's also called pigment, it's the substance that gives color to the skin, hair, iris of the eye and such. Darker skin have higher amounts of melanin.

**Please be informed that these supplements are different from the ones that you can buy from health food stores like GNC, these are special process formulation that contains Vitamin C and Alpha Lipoic acid or sometimes with NAC, to keep GSH (Glutathione) in its reduced state and comes in high dosage ie; 500mg to 800mg total mg. If you see 1000mg or higher that is bogus, a size 00 capsule can only fit 800mg, 850mg is pushing it.

I have read comments in Forums that taking these supplements are a waste of money. And that they don't work. "This is because they are just taking the ones that they bought from the health stores that are straight forward Glutathione". There is no shortcut to skin lightening, find the ones that are formulated for that purpose. Glutathione with 150mg from health food stores will not give you the same result.

But since Dietary Supplements are not regulated by the FDA, these "Special" formulation Glutathione are not allowed to put anything that would promote Skin Lightening on the label. Otherwise, it will be categorized as "Drugs" and no longer Dietary Supplement.

Personally, this is the safest alternative to skin lightening without having to sacrifice your health. And do you know that it is also a fountain of youth?? I  use it myself. Honestly, do I look like I have (5)five kids?? They don't call me Funky Mommy for nothing....

Skin Lightening....

People always ask me, why sell skin lightening products?? Its terrible, why change the color of you skin?? It's dangerous to your health. What they don't realize is they are exactly on the same boat as these people wanting to lighten their skin. Nope, they don't bleach their skin, they only inject Botox/Restylane and do numerous surgeries on their face and body.

Stop the hypocrisy, and let these people be. You don't hear us complain when we see you on the street striking a fake tan or lips looking like a fish. Ladies & Gents, these procedures has complications too, since I'm not a Doctor, I won't discuss the Scientific side of it, let's just focus on the Physical side, shall we?.

We all tried to change the way we look one way or the other. We will never be  satisfied on what we see in front of the mirror. We would always want to change something, even the simplest thing of dyeing our hair, or putting moisturizer on our face. The reason? to better ourselves, the same reason why you do Botox, Rhinoplasty, lighten your skin, darken your skin and such.

Let's face it, we are exposed to harsh elements even without doing what we do, so why can't we just get along and enjoy what we do best. Take Michael Jackson for example, we will never know why he change his looks every so often, but he's an artist and he has to evolve and Damn it HE"S A GENIUS. And please don't forget the fact that he suffered from a skin disease called VITILIGO.

Yes, I sell Skin Lightening products, that I'm not ashamed to say, as a matter of fact, I feel great. Receiving emails from customers, thanking me for a skin problem that went away just by using my product(s) is priceless. And I will do it over and over again.

I used to be one of these people that suffers from hyper pigmentations, very insecure and no self esteem. I was embarrassed to even go naked in front of my own husband, how pathetic was that? But after years of research and trials, I got rid of the problem, and this product(s) has now since become the  Best Sellers in our online store. It's Gluta-C Glutathione Supplement and Skin Lightening cream. Even my husband uses them, now he looks 10 years younger, beautiful skin and much energetic than ever.

My only advise is to do a thorough research before doing anything drastic such as altering the color of your skin. But let's face it, There is no such thing as "no untoward side effect".  So the best way is to do everything in moderation. Don't let vanity over shadow your purposes in life.

Where to eat??

My family loves to eat, I cook almost every day. But sometimes, i get so tired just thinking of what to cook for the next meal, so..we eat out.

For Chinese food fix, we always go to Hop Kee Restaurant in Mott Street Chinatown, for a Cantonese cuisine, freshly prepared food, quick service and affordable prices. Though the place is not much to look at, but you'll forget about the ambiance once the food starts coming. Another con is they only accept cash. Image shown is their Cantonese Style Pork Chop, delicious!!

There's only one Thai Restaurant that we like and it's located where we used to live, Astoria, Queens, it's called Thai Pavilion. The place is clean, the food is unbelievable and the wait staffs are very attentive. Tom Yum Gai is sour to the taste with lemon grass after taste,  flavorful! Shrimp Pad Thai is gloriously seasoned, amazing! Panang duck is crispy, sweet & spicy, perfect to the palate, compliment it with a glass of Pinot Grigio.

We tried so many Thai restaurants in the past even the ones here in Carle Place, but nothing can even come close to the Authenticity of Thai taste but Thai Pavilion.

Koiso in Carle Place is the place to be for Japanese cuisine where everything is freshly prepared by the owner/chef Mitch, they even grow the vegetables that they serve, how amazing is that??! Just tell him what combination you like with your Sushi or rolls and he will do it for you. A must, try their Spicy Tuna roll with their special sauce, savory.. yum!
It could be a little pricey as their lunch Special comes at the hefty price of $13.95 +, but if you're going to skip the appetizer, desert and drink (just get hot tea, it's free), then it is reasonable.

And if we crave Filipino dish, Roosevelt at Woodside is the turf, Renee's, Ihawan & Krystal, anywhere else falls flat when it comes to taste. There's one in Queens Blvd. that's worth a try if you like grilled Tuna head, it's called Tito Rads, tiny place but kick ass grilled tuna head and bicol express.

Here's for my Taste Blogging

He makes me laugh....

Posted by Mags B. at 04:18 PM on July 30, 2008 Comments comments (0)

My Husband makes me laugh all the time, he's a funny guy. Even my kids adore his sense of humor. He has a pet name for all of us and an inside joke that literally make us pee in our pants.

Im sure, he's mainly the reason why our Family is a Happy Family, because I'm pretty serious when it comes to dealing with every day life. That's why sometimes, you will hear him talk to me; "Lighten up, you're too serious",

Once I hear that, I know I'm already getting in everybody's nerves. So. I'll just take a deep breath and stay quiet (sometimes LOL!)

My Husband has tremendous amount of patience. I sometimes wish I have that trait, it will be much easier dealing with things.

One day when he was off from work, I hatched a plan to get the best of him by starting my day in a real bitchy mood. At first he's just quiet, probably thinking to himself.."she's probably getting her monthly visitor soon". By mid-day, still the same, looks like he's just ignoring me, while bitchy me is still at it; complaining about the loud music, coffee taste bad, the host on Wowowee doesn't know what he's talking about, cursing at Gloria Macapagal for being a crook, so forth and so on..
By late afternoon, he started to ask me if I'm ok or if there's something wrong with me. I replied; No, im fine. So he proceeded to go about his business; wash his car, watch tv, play with our daughter then he started picking on me, re-enacting what I was doing the whole day, telling my kids to stay away from me when I'm in a shitty mood. That whole day ended with all of us laughing.

You see,  argument takes two or more people to happen. Sometimes when your partner seem angry, don't assume it's you that made them angry, unless she/he tells you. Try to assess the situation by observing, just let them vent. Then talk to them when you know it's time.

He make me laugh, but he's also serious when it comes to cleaning and decorating the house. That.. I really like, and I know I'm very lucky and thankful to have him as a husband.

Did I say, he cooks too! Oh yes, Beef Steak and anything with beef on it are his Specialties. And he cooks with a smile on his face....always!

Seriously, joke around with your spouse, in the kitchen, in the car (make sure you don't distract him too much), bathroom and even in the bedroom. If you think joking around in the bedroom is not sexy, well.....you're up for a rude awakening!

SAY:  cute jokes when laying in bed or before bed. It's good to sleep in a solemn, happy mood.

Interesting topic...Marriage.

What's the secret to a Successful Marriage? Is there really a secret??

I have been asked so many times, but I'm at a loss for words every time. I would always joke around;  "it's the sex I'm tellin' ya".

Honestly, I never thought we would last this long, we fought constantly esp. the first 10 years, or was it 15?? No, really, I thought every time we fight is going to be the last, that's how bad it was. Now looking back, I just shake my head and couldn't help but smile. What is it that keeps us together? It's like no matter how bad the situation is, we always come out victorious. But for how long? Well, only time can tell.

Nowadays, kids rush into marriage, false assumptions and hopes, only to end up divorce or separated. Don't get me wrong, I was a teenager too when I had my first baby. I can't help but to think; what are we doing right??

I noticed that we had no more fights in a while,. just petty misunderstandings, nothing major though. He's more affectionate, thoughtful & sweeter than ever. I pray that we stay this way until we pass.

DO: make an effort to apologize and patch things up, it doesn't matter if it's after one day, one week, or one month. If you can't say it..then a sweet hug followed by a tender kiss will do. Ciao Bella!
